Austin used to hike with his parents all over Mount Rainier, but the Comet Falls hike was his favorite, and he wanted to share it with Kaylee.
Comet Falls is a tall waterfall located on Van Trump Creek in Pierce County, Washington. The falls are thought to be the best in the Mount Rainier region.
Located at an elevation of 4,830 feet, Comet Falls plunges down 320 feet. It given that name because it resembles the tail of a comet.
“Kaylee appears awestruck when we finally reach what we came to see, Comet Falls, three hundred and twenty feet of cascading glacier water-in my eyes, one of God’s most beautiful works of art. Water rockets off the bluff, crashes into the rocks below, then winds down the mountainside.” ~ Chapter Thirteen
